Royal Ascot is the highlight of the British Racing calendar and is an age old tradition that dates back to 1711 when it was founded by Queen Anne. Royal Ascot represents Our country to the full with its elegance and sophistication. Over 300,000 people attend the race meeting over the five days including, of course, all five days by The Queen and other members of the Royal Family. It is also great for celebrity spotting!

Prize money on offer for the week is 5 million pounds and with at least one Group one race everyday (16 group one’s in total) it must be the most exciting five days in the calendar. Ladies day is on the Thursday with the highlight race being the Ascot Gold Cup.

The fashion obviously is a huge part of the week and is a delight to observe. Royal Ascot have tightened their rules (quite right too!) so please read them carefully!

Please note: We no longer offer a collection and drop-off service that we have done in the past where hats have been hired daily.  Hats hired for Royal Ascot can be hired by email in advance but must be picked up from my shop a few days before Royal Ascot. A postal service is available all year round. Hats must be returned no later than the Wednesday (28th in 2023) after Royal Ascot. Hats are hired to be worn for one day/hire only. All details can be seen on the Royal Ascot Hire Contract.

Please email through the contact page to organise an appointment to come and view hats.
