Lizzies Hats News & Events
Lizzie’s Hats News Update!
I am currently selling gentlemen’s silk top hats and am able to source different sizes and styles to meet your requirements.
There have been many great things to come out of Ireland, including some brilliant milliners, most notably Philip Treacy, but also some names to look out for are Mark T Burke, from Galway who has made me some lovely pieces. Also Edel Ramberg, who is also from Galway, is fantastic. And lastly Aoife Hannon, who I had the pleasure of meeting at Cheltenham this year and I enjoyed seeing her hats on show throughout the week at the races.
My friend Boonie Ferrand owns a handbag purchase business called poshandprettyhandbags.co.uk and I am delighted to stock some of her pieces in my shop.

Royal Ascot is and has been for generations the pinnacle and showpiece of British society, elegance and tradition and in recent years due to the slackening of the rules this has been nothing to be proud of. Don’t get me wrong there are some ladies out there who in my opinion dress beautifully for Royal Ascot by respecting the traditional guidelines. I believe that Royal Ascot is the one place that you can really go to town when dressing and accessorizing, and you can never be overdressed, but in recent years images of women wearing next to nothing along with shoes they can’t walk in and a feather in the hair really does let Royal Ascot down.
